Our Team

Our amazing team of volunteers are committed to helping save as many lives as possible. We take our convictions and turn them into action. Think you would be a good fit? Check out our forms/links page for information on becoming a volunteer. We are always in need of to help with transporting to and from vet appointments, transporting between rescues, and fostering.

Our History

Seeing a need for an increase in the number of dogs spayed and neutered, as well as a decrease in the number of lives lost at the Surry County Animal Shelter, our rescue was formed more than 10 years ago. As a new nonprofit in this area, we formed our organization to provide sensible solutions to our local animals and pet owners. We've consistently grown since then, all thanks to the helping hands of our volunteers.

Our Mission

Mayberry4Paws - a 501 c 3 non-profit dog rescue group that works diligently to subsidize the cost of spaying and neutering pets in economically disadvantaged households. The ultimate goal is to reduce the number of dogs/cats entering the Surry County Animal Shelter and reduce the number of pets killed there. We also work tirelessly to ensure that lives that come into the Surry County Animal Shelter get pulled by reputable rescues that allow them the chance they deserve. We incorporate a fostering network into our mission to keep dogs safe while they await adoption. Fostering further reduces the number of dogs killed at the shelter.
